Shirley-Ann works with a variety of media and materials, where the main focus is on drawing and sculpture. Her experience as a psychotherapist informs her practice, which explores many aspects of human experience, where the internal world often searches for order to protect against fragmentation and chaos. She translates these experiences into wider philosophical and phenomenological concepts, where she narrates the stories that the internal world of the brain reveals. Her work often sits between the boundary of art and science.
Shirley-Ann has worked in several curatorial roles and on projects investigating psychoanalysis and art. She has exhibited in venues, both in London and South East England.
