Abigail Adams is a Luton-based interdisciplinary artist and political activist who graduated from Camberwell College of Arts in 2019. Their work often is a response to the epoch of crises we find ourselves in, and through this explores the human relationship to self, other, the natural environment and society as a whole.
Drawing from a range of sources, Abigail seeks to challenge accepted narratives and subvert their dominance through the poetics of visual art. In this exhibition they will be showcasing their current textile works that centre around Britain’s history of Imperialism and colonialism, and how that legacy continues to manifest in contemporary British culture, politics and international relations.
